WhatsApp is how most Pakistani families keep in touch, and parents check it many times a day. Traditional SMS gateways charge per message and send from a number parents do not recognise.
Schooliee includes the Schooliee Sender, a desktop app for Windows that runs WhatsApp Web with your school's own WhatsApp account. Messages go out from your number, not from Schooliee's.

Absent, late and leave alerts: When a teacher marks attendance, parents of students marked absent, late or on leave are notified. An absent alert links to a leave form. For example:
"Assalam-o-Alaikum. Daniyal (Class 5-A) was marked absent today. If your child is unwell, please send a leave request using this link."
Fee reminders and payment confirmations: Send fee reminders yourself or let Schooliee send them automatically. Parents also get a confirmation when a fee payment is recorded, and a message when their payment proof is accepted or rejected.
Diary and homework: When teachers post the diary, parents are notified, so a lost paper diary no longer means missed homework.
Exam schedules and results: Send exam schedules before exams and results once they are published.
Other events: Fines, admission welcome messages, certificates, observations, birthday wishes, live-class links, a weekly summary for parents and a weekly summary for the owner.
The dashboard shows the message queue and whether the sender device is connected. You can pause sending and retry messages that failed. For families without WhatsApp, Schooliee can send SMS through the Schooliee SMS sender Android app using the phone's own SIM, or send email.
No. Schooliee does not route WhatsApp through a paid gateway. The Schooliee Sender app on a Windows computer sends messages from your school's own WhatsApp number through WhatsApp Web.
