Tracking Attendance Early to Reduce Absence

Regular absence can slowly affect a student's learning. Schools often find out about a pattern only at the end of a term, when it is harder to act on. Schooliee does not predict absence. Record attendance quickly

Respond with care

Start with the student and the family rather than with discipline. Absence often has a cause, such as health, family circumstances or difficulty with a subject. Ask open questions and listen before deciding what support is needed.
